Hi, Medications should always be taken under the supervision of a physician. Self medication can be detrimental for health. Petril can be magic pill for anxiety, but at the same time it can lead to dependence (addiction) and stopped abruptly, it can cause withdrawal syndrome, which further worsen your situation.
Next Steps
Consult with both psychiatrist and gastroenterologist for better management of IBS

These medicines have to be taken under supervision of a Psychiatric only. Self medication and prolonged use of these medicines with out supervision is not desirable. Also decision needs to be made regarding suitability ofother options for your problem.
Next Steps
you need to consult a psychiatrist and discuss your problem in detail with him and for best available treatment options.

Petril and normaxin are usually not used alone in IBS. IBS is usually associated with anxiety or a mood disorder. Complete management plan( pharmacological plus lifestyle) is a must for adequate relief.
Next Steps
have a detailed discussion/evaluation with a Psychiatrist about the condition, course, management and prognosis
Health Tips
do not self medicate or Google diagnose your condition

Details are required to comment. Follow up with your psychiatrist. Talk to a psychiatrist for diagnosis and treatment options. Taking medicines on your own wont be helpful.
