From past 8-10 days I am suffering from swollen tonsils with cold and cough associated with runny nose and sneezing, headache with moderate body pain. my wisdom tooth is decayed. does wisdom teeth causes throat infection and swollen tonsils. also I am allergic to penicillin, diclofenac, ibuprofen, aspirin, sulpha. doctor has prescribed azithromycin 250 for three days. but the discomfort in throat has not gone. please suggest any medicine or treatment for the same.

Dental infection can precipitate tonsil infection.
Use Betadine mouthwash- 2 times a day x 7 days.
I cannot understand, while u r a young adult, why azithro in 250mg dosage....
Anyway,
Have calpol 650 sos for headache nd other pain issues.
