Quad helix is used in correction of dental cross bites and its in transverse dimension.
If it's dental crossbite yes quad helix works.
If its skeletal crossbite it will worsen the end result stability and periodontal health etc.
Health Tips
it will help in facial profile improvement but in indirect way as its just corrects the dental crossbite. So it will have minimal effect on profile.

Quad helix expander is used as adjunctive therapy to orthodontic treatment. It does cause facial changes. Surgery is best decided by your dentist if he has an MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
