Need birth weight, present weight to make the diagnosis of pyloric stenosis.if child is vomiting and gaining adequate weight it is considered normal. In your case child was premature; if baby is vomiting it can be because of GER . If baby is vomiting and not gaining weight one should consider pyloric stenosis.
