Asked for Male, 65 Years

My father aged 65 years is recovering from pyelonphirits , had DJ Stenting done with utheric strictures . DJ stent removed . Now clincally OK. Was hospitialized for 2 weeks due to above. He lost around ~10 kgs , had loss of aptetite also due to above. is such loss of weight normal after above ? . How to prevent further weight loss
