Pus cell count 10-15
I was suffering from fever/cold for few days and had headache and weakness after i recovered. Now i am recovered but my blood and urine test results, every thing is normal in blood test but my pus cell count is 10-15 cells/hpf and epithelial cells are 2-3 cells/hpf. All other counts/results are within average. I can see pus cells are above normal. Is it a issue. What should i do? I have attached a screenshot of test. Thanks

Your urine report is suggestive of urinary tract infection(UTI). A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection from microbes. These are organisms that are too small to be seen without a microscope. Most UTIs are caused by bacteria, but some are caused by fungi and in rare cases by viruses. UTIs are among the most common infections in humans. A UTI can happen anywhere in your urinary tract. Your urinary tract is made up of your kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. Most UTIs only involve the urethra and bladder, in the lower tract. However, UTIs can involve the ureters and kidneys, in the upper tract. Although upper tract UTIs are more rare than lower tract UTIs, they’re also usually more severe. You currently require an alkalyzing agent to be had with water and antibiotics(if symptoms worsen). These following steps will help: - Drink plenty of water, Aim to drink 3.5 liters of water per day - Drink cranberry juice which will help against certain microbes from attaching. - Do not hold urine in for too long and the urge to void comes you should void it at the earliest. - Maintain a high level of personal hygiene. If condition persists or worsens visit the nearest ER at the earliest.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  You have high pus cells in urine that means you have urinary tract infection.  Drink plenty of fluids. Get urine culture and sensitivity done. Syp. Citralka 10ml in 100ml water thrice a day for 7 days. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
