Can anyone explain me "what is purpose at work " . I'm an IT professional . stuck in a mundane job for monetary benefits/living .. How do one define "purpose at work " ?

Purpose of work : In order to be able to feed yourself and manage day to day needs. Fulfill your dreams Secure your future Contribute to the society Give back to the society Follow your passion There's so many IT people who feel this way.  Feel free to consult if you need more help!

Basic purpose of job is to earn bread and butter for self and family, further getting fame and then it moves to all sort of higher order needs and wants. Now you have to decide your purpose as it also changes person to person.

When you have a sense of purpose at work, you feel passionate, innovative, and committed. Your outward-looking focus is on serving the organization. Also, your professional purpose is in balance with your personal purpose. If you feel this way, then you have a purpose mindset.

If you don’t find your work meaningful, you can slowly transition to something that you find interesting. Ppl usually find building something for themselves, meaningful
