Purple Blue patch on toungue
My Mother in law got purple/blue shade patch on left side of the tongue and a white blister which is painless, attached a photo. We are scared about it. Is that serious. What causes it? I dont want her to worry by taking her to doctor immediately as she is thinking its nothing. Please suggest

The tongue may turn purple as a result of poor blood circulation or a heart condition. A purple tongue can also be a sign of Kawasaki disease. This is a rare but serious condition that causes inflammation of the blood vessels.
