My wife has been on anxiety medications for over a year and gradually tapered to a low dose of 0.25 mg Lorazepam and 0.125 mg Clonazepam at night. A month back we reduced Clonazepam to half of that (less than .1 mg). Around the same time she started having symptoms of pulsatile tinnitus. After ruling out ear anomaly from ENT, we checked with a neuro and post MRI, found that she had Chiari malformation I. That seems to have caused occasional head aches during sneeze and sudden balance issues. The neuro has given Gabapentin with a Tri Magnesium supplement for a month. Here are my questions
1. What's the likely cause of the pulsatile tinnitus - Withdrawal of Clonazepam (or) Chiari (or) any other vascular issue (she has low BP sometimes)
2. Should we revert to .125 mg Clonazepam along with current Gabapentin to aid in tinnitus
3. Will the tinnitus go away eventually
