Pulmonary embolism
My girlfriend was diagnosed today with acute polmunary embolism's , she has started treatment straight away which is a daily injection of blood thinner, now she's started treatment will she be okay? Also what does the acute part of acute pulmonary embolism mean?

Hello dear patient, acute means only that symptoms happen. Suddenly like cough, shortness of breath, pain in chest, blood in cough etc. Pulmonary embolism is a serious condition.
