PTH 101 but KFT report normal. Vit D 52
My father has extreme weekness and weight loss problem. Pain in legs and back. Timgling and numbness in legs. Undergone test. All reports are normal. But PTH is 101. But KFT shows normal calcium and phosphorus level. But vitamin D is 52.

PTH can be elevated in Vitamin D deficiency which is appropriate. Calcium is high normal. Ionised calcium or free calcium will help if there is primary hyperparathyroidism. But his symptoms are not due to this. This is just an incidental finding which is usually the case

U need to consult urgently to endocrinologist this needs further workup as high ca with high PTH suggest high chances of primary hyperpathyroidism which require detailed workup and management..!!!
