Psychological Problem
My grandmom aged 70 yrs is suffering from severe sleep disorders, frequent mood swings and wishes to die. There are several other problems which keeps on irritating our entire family members but she remains indifferent. I can well understand how she feels but we really want her to snap out of it.

It is difficult to comment without knowing her complete history. But the brief description you gave suggests that it could be a mood disorder. Sleep is often disturbed in all psychiatric disorders. You must take her to a psychiatrist for evaluation.
