Progressive myopic eye
I m wearing specs since 4 years but my prescription is increasing day by day now i m having a prescription of -5.5/-6.00 diopter.I there any way to check the progression until i will be suitable for LASIK.I m also having halos aroung headlights of car is this a symptom of glucoma???Also tell me is there any side effects of LASIK or a better option than it and how much it cost in India  nowadays???                                                          Thank you

Hello A. I am sorry but there is no medicine to stop progression of myopia. This will become stable at age of 18-21 yrs by itself B. Haloes around headlights could be due to other causes like dryness etc I would recommend you to consult local ophthalmologist and get proper eye examination C.lasik cost depends on type of LASIK and it varies from place to place LASIK is quite safe process Side effects range from minor to major For more information,you can read my health tip on LASIK available on practo healthfeed

You are not eligible for lasik at present. Your number is likely to increase for next 3to4 years. But by using contact lens you may decrease the progress.. So contact lenses are advised for next3to4 yrs
