Proctocolitis
Hello doctor!
My mother, 70 years of age, got diagnosed with proctocolitis and her CD toxin was positive.
She was on vancomycin for 14 days and right now on metrozyl 400 mg for 14 days to be completed in next 3 days.
She is receiving vsl#3 once a day.
Econorm sachet thrice a day , now complete.
She is still in Abdominal pain and more so while passing stool. She says it gives burning sensation while passing stool.
What should be done?!
Please suggest.

What is the frequency of passage ?
It takes time for the mucosa to heal post C. Difficile proctocolits.
Wait for few days. If it is not coming down
Consult your primary consultant.
