Problem to urinate and motion

Asked for Male, 78 Years

My father aged 78 Yrs is not able to urinate and is on catheract(urine collecting bag) since 1 week and has not passed motion since 4 - 5 days. Kindly suggest some medicine.

You require evaluation for the cause of catheterization(retention of urine). In old age mist common cause is prostate enlargement.other common causes are bladder stony,neurological problems and infection. Proper work up to be done by a urologist for proper advice
