Problem in ear that affects brains

My husband is 32years, he has got problem in left ear and hence can rarely hear. At frequent intervals he gets giddiness n vomiting at least for 4hrs Doctor prescribed vertin tablet but intervals have increased instead of reducing impact Please guide what can be done
