Problem associated with TOF
My brother is 33 years old nd down syndrome issues from childhood and having hole on his heart from birth which is not enlarged till now (33years) ,hole size is same till now since birth. Now he has suffering from TOF issue nd doctor says today asap do operation (open heart surgery) to repair this problem. He is down syndrome child...i think such kind of child doesn't go through operation process...we don't want to do this operation....we want mediation only to repair at least little more..to do his daily work such as normal. so plz advise me .. madication is available for this to having little recovery. thanks in advance

As per your message something is missing. TOF diagnosed at the age of 33 is surprising. Kindly send Echocardiography report So that I analyse it properly.

Hello, TOF is a disease present since birth. If he is having bluish nails and toes which were not there previously then its likely to be Eisenmenger AVSD rather than TOF. Down synd patients have AV septal defects commonly not TOF. Need to see his echo and ECG Take care
