In case of your patient, high gleason score (4+5) is a high risk feature. But there are other factors which needs to be considered. Provide complete information including any bone scan, MRI scan, S PSA test. What other treatments have been given so far apart from surgery, eg hormone therapy, chemotherapy, radiation etc. Overall prostate cancer is slow growing disease. Apart from surgery, radiation therapy and hormonal therapy play important role in the curative treatment of prostate cancer. Recent evidence suggests benefits of chemotherapy in prolongation of life in advanced disease.
