Pregnant wife with diabetes
This is regarding my 8months pregnant wife facing issues with high sugar level (Gestational diabetes)post meals( even after taking 12unit of Actrapid insulin). We were consulting diabetologist ( Dr. Benny Negalur in Thane-Mumbai) till 7th month but have come to our native town and have no contact with that doctor. She prescribed Actrapid insulin before :Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner and Mixtard at night and also asked  to increase the dose as per need. We had to increase the insulin to 7units Actrapid before Breakfast 9units before lunch and 9units before Dinner + 5units Mixtard at night But the sugar level was going high( average range 160 to180) after meals ,so we consulted another Diabetologist through Practo online.Doctor asked us to reduce the meal intake and break it in 8 meals and also to increase the insulin Actrapid 9units before Breakfast, 12units before lunch and 12units before Dinner + 6units Mixtard, but still post meal sugar level is going high, please.. please help us..
