Pregnancy complications
I was pregnant last year.after 5 mths I had premature delivery and the baby also died.then again I was diagnosed with appendix and I got operated.a small sish also was found inside during operation.I m trying for a baby.what are my chances of getting pregnant?and I m worried for the reason behind pre matured delivery

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you have had such a difficult time. There are several causes for preterm labour and infection can be one of them. Your obstetrician is the best person to answer your queries and do the right tests to prevent it happening again. Sometimes such a delivery can be because of a weak or short cervix in which case your doctor may recommend putting a stitch around the cervix. It all depends on your clinical and ultrasound assessment. In the majority of cases no cause is found SNF the pregnancy proceeds as normal. However your risk of having another preterm delivery is slightly higher than the first time because of your history. Your doctor will help to manage your pregnancy to prevent it happening this time. Please consult them before you start trying so you will have all your queries answered. best wishes
