Prediabetes
I went for a general health check up. My fasting blood sugar level is 117. Please advise what medication i should take to avoid the risk of diabetes.

Hello,  it's a condition of pre-diabetes,  but to confirm this also need to undergo few more tests.  This condition arises due to high carbohydrate - fat diet, low exercise, less input-output ratio, depending upon the family history and stress also play the vital role in it. Symptoms of pre-diabetes include: Polyuria (frequent urination) Polydypsia (excessive thirst) Tiredness
Next Steps
As mentioned above,  if any of the symptom or history is significant for you. Kindly go for your FBS,  PP & RBS ; HbA1c, it will help to confirm your diagnosis. Seek advise from the physician/ diabetologist after this. No need to start any medication now
Health Tips
Go for walk daily,  at least 30 mins,  consider as best excercise. Also follow diabetic diet.
