Postponing periods

Asked for Female, 22 Years

I started taking meprate tablet as prescribed by my doctor 2 dose/day as my periods were due after 3 days. I started the dose yesterday itself but the next day i got blood spotting. The blood is rather more than mere spotting. Should i still continue takimg the tablet or stop taking? As it looks like i have my periods but with little blood flow
