Hello Friend, Good that you are seeking a help here. Yes, surely you can overcome anxiety or depression caused by traumas in the past. Only thing you is, you need to cooperate  to discuss this problem with a psychologists in detail and follow his therapies and suggestions. More and more you try to forget that incident or event, the memories will register stronger and stronger. This how the mind works. So instead of trying to forget the past, you need to accept it as reality and give less importance to it in your day-to-day normal life. I know it's looks easier said than done. Be positive. With counseling and therapy guidance you can achieve this. Feel free reach to any of us online or directly to guide you. Be positive. You will be alright soon.
