It's been almost a year since I stopped taking contraceptives for pcos, but the acne that started after still persists. I've started using salicylic acid serum along with zinc supplements and found temporary relief but right now that doesn't seem to be working too. What is happening and how can I permanently put an end to acne?

For hormonal acne.. treatment is usually tough and multiple treatment modalities are used like oral & topical medication, chemical peels.. and treatment course take 3-4 months.. after that maintenance therapy might be required.
