Hi your mother need to be investigated first to find out the cause of this bleeding which could be due to very benign things like hyperplasia to Frank cancers.so before rushing for surgery get the investigation done properly as it can mean a lot of difference in management as treatment will totally different for a benign thing and a cancer. And there is good chances of offering cure if it is cancer and treated properly at the first instance.
