It's been my observation that when my eyes are covered with glasses (sunglasses or transparent Plastic glasses which the doctor provides after surgery), problem of burning sensation (dryness) of eyes is not as much as when they're naked. It's been 3 months since my lasik and I've been using eyedrops (systane ultra). I have to read books for most of the time of the day. I do use Dr Marc's aloe vera eye mask couple of times a day. Should I go for powerless glasses? I wish comfortable reading.

Some amount of neuropathy after lasik is common producing dryness in the eyes. This usually resolved in 3 to 4 months after surgery however some take longer. Do not worry. Use a longer lasting lubricant supplemented by a gel. Your doctor will help you with the same. If there isn’t any residual error glasses might not be very beneficial. Your symptoms sound more likely to be due to dryness.
