Pooping blood
Hie, im asking on behalf of a friend who seems to not take the problem as serious. he says he has the problem for almost 3years now and seems to have come to terms with it.
The problem is when he poops, his poop comes out with blood, bright red blood.Sometimes he says it comes out in clots as if the blood has been sitting stagnant somewhere.He cant even see the poop after he has done his business as the blood would have coloured the water in the toilet. it sounds like a huge problem to me,help

Hi dear if this bleed is not associated with pain than is generally due to piles and quantity of blood should be more. If this is associated with pain and quantity is less than this is due to fissure. At times there may be sigmoid colitis which leads to cramping lower abdominal pain and may cause passage of blood in stool. You should avoid constipation, as this is the cause for piles/ Fissure. it's better to get evaluated , a short scopy done to rule out the underline problem. Take salads in each diet.
