Polio drops
My son received opv vaccine at birth and then ipv in 6th and 10th week and now will receive another ipv in 14th week on 5th oct 21 Have heard of polio camps all over India. Should we get him those polio drops as well or we are good with the current doses. Not sure of the difference between these opv, ipv, pulse polio drops.

Pulse polio vaccination is not that OPV dose mentioned in the immunization schedule of ur child…. So whether ur child has taken OPV acc to immunization schedule, pulse polio vaccination is highly recommended for herd immunity.. Meaning All children less than 5 yrs of age are vaccinated on same day to prevent the transmission of virus in the community Regards…

Hello , yes u can take oral polio drops in pulse polio camps along with ipv . No problem

Pulse polio drive gives polio drops of a particular strain which is detected in some patients. You must givepulse polio drops when they come. Continue with regular immunization schedule. I hope importance of pulse polio drive.

All children below 5years of age need to get polio Vaccinated on all national immunization days irrespective of their previous immunization status.
