Sir my mother is suffering from poly-arthritis. she is 58 suffering from the disease for the last 20 years. Recently we visited a rheumatologist from practo and started the treatment. But he calls us every week for checkup. He changes the medicines every week. m sensing he is just trying to make money. Pls suggest.

Plz don't think like this . Drugs for rheumatoid arthritis need regular follow up as they have so many complications. And initially dose need to be adjusted depending on response

Sometimes u need to see the patient at shirt intervals to titrate the dose or change medicines. Once she stabilises on treatment then probably you may need to visit at longer intervals. If u have doubts please discuss with your treating physician.
