Hello Doc,
Me and my wife are fully vaccinated and have planned for Vaishnodevi Darshan on 2nd Jan, we have a flight to catch tomorrow from Mumbai. In awake of increasing COVID numbers we are now in double mind.
We have a son who is only two years old in case if we get infected would this have any adverse effect on our child too...please suggest

Hello. Yes, it is advisable to cancel your trip and be at home because overcrowded places will increase your risk of getting infected and can affect your child too. The timing is not right as the crowd will be even more due to new year and hence, better to be safe than sorry. Take care.

The child can also get covid positive if you'll get infected. Travelling by airplane is one thing I will advice not to do presently.
Even suppose you get infected and the infection is mild, but it becomes difficult for Isolation outside. Atleast at home you can be comfortable
