Pityriasis rosea
I had PR in January which covered from neck to legs. It was resolved by using steroidal ointment, antibiotics and aqua moisturizer. After that I used to get few rashes only on my legs and used apply same cream. However it is not yet resolved. I am getting these patches more frequently and I visited the doctor again in June. And it's been diagnosed as localized PR. Prescription suggested is tacroz ointment for 3 weeks. After applying I m noticing that increase in red patches. I hav tried almost all the medication and I am really worried. Please let me know is it a life long disease or is there any cure for this. How do I get rid of this viral infection.

No..Fungal infection or Ring worm.. when occurs in groin, called as jock itch.. Usually fungal infection is common in moist areas of body like skin folds..It's mostly circular or round in appearance.. May be red or black in colour.. Treatment depending on the type and severity.. Avoid sharing clothes, towels and soap; sweating also increases it..As it has to be differentiated from eczema and infection, its a must to see and confirm the diagnosis for proper treatment..So, please send photos of the affected area for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
