Pimple near tailbone area
2 months back I discovered a pimple near my tailbone area above the buttocks. It hurts while sitting and sleeping in the flat position. I did some research about it and I think it's a pilonidal cyst. When I first encountered it, it pained me for several days and then went back to normal. After a month Yesterday it started paining again. Today when I woke up, the pain was little bit calmed. I checked for the symptoms, it only pains, there is no draining of pus or redness.
Is this a serious complication? Does it go away on it's own? When should I seek the doctor? And does it require surgery?

An abnormal skin growth located at the tailbone that contains hair and skin. The cyst is usually located near the tailbone and can become easily infected. Treatment involves drainage and surgical removal of the cyst.
Consult to b confirmatory it is a pilonidal sinus.
