Am having severe coughing last 3 days and taking marzon, allerfix tablets and Reswas cough syrup. but the congestion in chest persists.
I smoke about 20 cigaretes in a day. Is the congestion due to this and is there a way to treat lungs and purify them.

smoking has a bad effect on the lungs causing severe bronchtis and increasing possibility of lower respiratory tract infections
Please quit smoking and get cxr done
