Persistent bad breath
I recently got into a new relationship and my partner tells me I have bad breath. I have never been told this by my friends or in my previous relationships. I got treatment for gingivitis in March and got my upper wisdom teeth extracted. I don't have bleeding gums now, but my teeth feel sensitive close to my gums. I have breathing issues from chest congestion but only when I get a cold. According to my partner, my bad breath sometimes comes from the nose but sometimes also from my mouth and it smells acidic. Whom should I consult for this issue, dentist or gastroenterologist?

Good afternoon Dear As per your words you are suffering for bad breath ,Most common reason for bad breath is improper brushing or some infection in oral cavity, but as per you you went under scaling as well removal of your third molar so chances of oral reason is less. Another thing you mentioned that you are a mouth breather..usually mouth breather gives bad breath because of Frequent drying of Oral cavity. Other reason can be gastric problem. Drink a lot of water use mouthwash regularly Or you can visit a Periodontist (Gum Specialist) Regards Dr. Aman Bhatia Chandigarh www.dentafix.in
