Hello, I went through your query, Yes it is possible to get periods without ovulation and it is one of the cause for infertility. Anovulation is a condition in which the ovary does not release a ripened egg each month as part of a woman's normal cycle in her reproductive years. Naturally, with no egg available for sperm, a woman cannot become pregnant. In a normal cycle, the production of progesterone is stimulated by the release of an egg. It's this hormone that helps a woman's body maintain regular periods. But during an anovulatory cycle, an insufficient level of progesterone can lead to heavy bleeding. A woman may mistake this bleeding for a real period. In Normal period of 28days ovulation occurs on 14th day.
