Periods started early
My last bleeding was on 26 august and i did sex on 5 sept and took i pill at 50th hour..... my periods should be late but it started today which is early than my normal as they start on 21 around.... so what this mean.. and today is first day... if periods continue do i need to worry that i am pregnent and if not??

Thank you for your question. Taking emergency contraception can bring on your period early. Please check if it is normal in flow. If it is lighter than usual it is safer to do a pregnancy test. also please consider using more reliable contraception like the coc pill. Your gynaecologist will help with making the right decision for you. You also need screening for sexually transmitted infections. Please ensure you use condoms in addition to your regular contraception as they protect you from sexually transmitted infections but they are not that great at preventing pregnancy if you have sex regularly. hope this helps
