Periods not stopping

Asked for Female, 46 Years

Hello Dr I have been advised to take primolut N for stopping my bleeding for a month . Can I take these tablets for a month. Iam 46 yrs old and since my periods did not stop even after 10 days she has advised to take these tablets

Yes u cn take these but u need to find out the cause of prolonged bleeding too. It could be anything from fibroid,polyp , ovarian cyst , hormonal imbalance , perimenopausal symptoms etc. Do an ultrasound pelvis and also an endometrial aspiration s advised at ur age after preliminary tests.
