Periods 3 times in month
My friend gets periods for every 10 days from past 1.5 month.she is only on solian 50 mg tablets (for schizophrenia).her psychtrist has told to consult gynaecologist. What is the problem why is it happening? and what is solution?

Hello there, Menorrhagia is the medical term for menstrual periods with abnormally heavy or prolonged bleeding. . In a normal menstrual cycle, a balance between the hormones estrogen and progesterone regulates the buildup of the lining of the uterus (endometrium), which is shed during menstruation. If a hormone imbalance occurs, the endometrium develops in excess and eventually sheds by way of heavy menstrual bleeding...Kindly consult Gynecologist for further evaluation and treatment...
