I’ve been having cramping abdominally for about two days and today I started bleeding. The bleeding was heavier than spotting but lighter than my normal period. This is not normal for me. It only lasted a few hours

Let us know more details ,did you do unprotected sex, any ipills taken? Any history of PCOs thyroid etc. Any weight gain or lack of physical activity ,based on these information we shall be able to advise you further on this.
