Pelvic inflammatory disease
Have recently been treated for PID. Not been sexually active before. Took medication for a month(Aug). Was told abt the presence of a certain liquid formed in the infected area. Want to know how much time it takes for the liquid to dry up. Although I don't suffer from severe pain these days, there is a constant uneasiness in my pelvic area.

Thank you for your question. Any inflammation can take between 6 to 8 weeks to resolve. It does depend on whether your treatment completely treated possible sexually transmitted infections like Chlamydia and gonorrhoea. These are particularly damaging to the tubes and ovaries. I would suggest that if you are not significantly better 4 weeks after treatment you need to be reviewed by your treating doctor again. A urine infection also needs to be ruled out.
Next Steps
Approach your doctor and tell them your symptoms those which got better and those that persist hope this helps best wishes
