Hello mam, Pcod/pcos in you might have roots from your family history of diabetes ( 70-90% cases) It's easily treatable condition. Don't be afraid and disheartened. apart from menstrual irregularities/ absence of periods there are other problems which come in the circle of PCOD, like obesity 60-80% (very few exceptions), difficulty in loosing weight, which is due to increase in insulin resulting lowering of post parandial blood sugar(2 hours after food will be  less than 110) and this sugar converting to fat increasing the fat in body. Because of increased insulin level blocks action of  some harmones  on ovaries causing ummatured/ unripened eggs over the month giving ovaries a shape of poly-cystic ovaries and functionally there is increase in amount of male harmone testosterone and dht, causing male pattern hair growth in the female body who is affected (like chin hairs etc.) There is also  thick and dark  pigmentation on neck   and on skin  joints of fingers. Infertility or failure to conceive is one of the biggest problem faced in PCOD patient (very much and easily treatable)
Next Steps
focus on reducing your weight first and farmost which will be most helpful. strictly avoid sweet things, sugary things instead use stivia based natural sweetner it's free of any side affect. take your heavy breakfast before 9 'O clock without fail or within 2 hours of getting up whichever is earlier. heavy breakfast means you should have cereal roti, oats, mixed flakes, mixed daliya. avoid full cream milk take double toned instead, exercise 45 min. daily (15 min walk 5-8 min brisk walking and repeat the same for 45 min.)
Health Tips
after heavy breakfast equivalent to 3 bread slice take a small meal like a apple/guava/orange/pappya at 12 pm and lunch at usual time of 1+1/2 roti mixed with besan oat take a small meal in the form of roasted chana or sprout or boiled lentils like black gram/rajma take dinner at usual time 1 chappati plus dahi plus salad take a cup of milk at night hope this write up will help you
