Patulous GE Junction
I am having sharp pain in lt epigastrium since 3 years and recently I m belching a lot, I underwent endoscopy,it showed patulous GE Junction and the rest is normal, is there any possibility of Gerd even if there are no changes? What is the best treatment available for this? Thank you.

Hello patulous junction refers to weak pressure to hold up oesophageal junction you can try medications and try to change lifestyle like avoid smoking and spicy food and alcohol Have food on time Have food 2 to 3 hrs prior to sleep Elevate head end Finally you can undergo surgery consult gastroenterologist for further evaluation and treatment.
