Pancreas calculi

Asked for Male, 36 Years

Hi My recent MRCP reveals that I have calculi in Main Pancreatic Duct alongwith 8 MM dilation. Recently I felt a mild pain for few days due to which I could not able to eat properly which resulted to weight loss of around 5 kg. Now, want to know whether should I go for ERCP or wait till the seviour pain occurs as heard that once the ERCP is done it may irritate the pancreas. I did not have seviour pain from the last 5 years. Still if I have to go for ERCP should I go for Specialized Hospital like AIG, Hyderabad or I can find the specialized Endocrinologist in Delhi Itself?

ERCP is done by a gastroenterologist. U should consult a gastroenterologist about its utility and risks involved. If u chose to go for it select a hospital that has gastroenterologist with a good experience in ERCP. Role of Endocrnologist would be limited to managing sugar levels if there is any spike
