Pains in the lumbosacral spine and knees
Hi, this inquiry is on behalf of my 57 years old mother who have been experiencing serious low back and knee pains in both her lumbosacral spine and both knee joints. She was subjected to an X ray scan which reveal the following results: 1.) EXAMINATION: LUMBOSACRAL SPINE. There is anterior shift of the L4vertebral body over L5, about 25% shift. The L4/5 disc space is reduced in height. There is sclerosis of L4&5vertebral bodies and disc spaces are within normal limits. Impression: Lumbar spondylolisthesis 2.) BOTH KNEE JOINTS There is valgus deformity of the knee bilaterally worse on the right. Degenerative osteophytes are seen in the articular bones including the patella. The tibio-femora joint spaces are also reduced bilaterally, with joint effusion also noted. Soft tissues calcification is also seen in the lateral supra condylar region of the right knee. Impression: Bilateral osteoarthritis
