Painful ear problems

Asked for Male, 37 Years

For many yrs I have had left ear problems, I.e perforation and fragrant green/ yellow discharge, 2 months ago I became dizzy and unwell and dr said I had inner ear infection and perforation, 2 months on the problem has not changed so dr used suction to remove puss and build up and said my ear drum was fully perforated and booked me an urgent e.n.t appt to check for a tumor, 2 days on from suction I am in real pain with a lot of discharge and my ear canal is swelling closed, what is your opinion?

You seem to be suffering from chronic otitis media which is a common type of middle ear infection where there will be chronic ear discharge with perforation of ear drum. Right now you seem to be having external ear infection too. You may need to take antibiotics and painkillers for few days. You may need to undergo middle ear surgery as soon as your present infection comes under control
