Pain under lower left rib
I have been experiencing sharp pains under my lowest lying left rib for almost 2 months now. I have lost all appetite, constant nausea, and because of that I’ve lost 15lbs. I can never go to the bathroom unless it’s in the morning, although it feels that I have something in my bowels at times. The stools are very acute and slimy. A GP said this could be an ulcer, but they didn’t investigate much. I’m desperate for answers. Also smoking triggers nausea, even the smell of it. Please help!

Left sided abdominal pain can be due to gastritis, left sided colitis ( infection of colon) or may be a muscular pain. If it's in loin or slightly lower back then it may be due to left kidney stone. You need to go for a ultrasound of abdomen and A Gastroscopy to rule out ulcers / erosions .
Next Steps
Avoid smoking / tea/ coffee .
