Pain Swallong Shortly After Tonsilitis
I have had tonsilitis often over the last few years. A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with it again, and went through a 10 day antibiotic treatment after which my throat was fine. The day after I went back to the gym, and have done so twice since then. I think I had a sinus infection of sorts in the mean time and mild flu-like symptoms. Tonight I woke up with pain swallowing again. I stopped my antibiotic treatment last sunday. Is it likely that it is again bacterial, or simply viral this time?

Your problem could be chronic sinusitis leading to post nasal drip and throat irritation with tonsillitis. You will need a diagnostic nasal endoscopy first followed by a ct scan of the nose and paranasal sinus to evaluate further if needed.
