Pain on the left side of chest
I have been having a pain at a spot on the left side of my chest for a few months. On most days, it's present for a few minutes during the day. Sometimes it is constant for a day or two. The pain is right below the armpit in line with the nipple. If I press the spot with my fingers the pain increases as it would if you press a wound. However, I am concerned it might be something more. Both my parents have a history of heart ailments - heart attack and bypass surgery around the age of 45. I am also a smoker for the past 8 year's - currently 3 cigarettes a day. Hence I fear this may be a cardiac issue. Please advise.
