Pain in right groin
I have severe pain in right groin area. Pain is severe while stretching the leg/hip and trying to lift the leg in sitting or standing position. Comparatively less pain in sitting and standing position. Hurts while walking also. What might be the cause? How can I reduce this and should I consult the doctor immediately?

Usually that type of pain occurs when there is sprain of one group of muscles in your groin. Did you do any exercises or activity  recently? If pain is mild try ice application and pain killer spray. If pain is moderate or severe it's better to consult doctor immediately
Next Steps
X ray and if needed MRI scan of hip joint Give rest if you are exercising.
