  3. Pain in middle finger. I need an x ray?

Pain in middle finger
I have been having pain in the proximal interphalangeal joint area of my right middle finger since the last 3 weeks. I have used anti inflammatory medicines topical and oral but the pain persists. Do i need an x ray? There is no redness or swelling or deformity The finger cannot fold into a fist position like the others
